Spatial Intelligence Enhancements IMPROVEMENT
Spatial Intelligence has been upgraded with multiple enhancements designed to improve investigative efficiency, navigation, and data visualization. This release includes the following key features:
1. Breadcrumb Integration for Spatial Intelligence Actions
Spatial Intelligence actions, including map searches and geozone definitions, are now integrated into the breadcrumb trail at the top of the map. Users can easily trace and navigate through their prior investigative steps. Clicking on breadcrumb references brings users back to the selected point without clearing or altering the rest of their investigative history.
Spatial Intelligence actions are captured in the breadcrumb with the same labeling as in the history panel.
Clicking a breadcrumb reference reopens the previous spatial state.
Breadcrumb navigation remains intact even when moving into Spatial Intelligence views.
2. Color-Coded Map Pins by Device ID
Pins on the map now use a unique color assigned to each deviceId, enhancing visual differentiation. Colors are automatically generated using a consistent algorithm (string-to-hex-code-color method), ensuring a distinct color for each device without manual configuration.
Each
deviceIdis mapped to a hex color, creating quick visual cues.Cluster icons have been redesigned to a neutral grey background (#504E50) with light grey text (#D9D9D9), moving away from the previous red, yellow, and blue background system.
Uniform cluster styling promotes a cleaner, less distracting map interface.
3. Declustering Toggle for Improved Pin Analysis
A new Cluster toggle has been added to the Spatial Intelligence red info box. Users can now easily switch between clustered and unclustered views to better analyze the spatial distribution of pins based on their color coding.
The toggle defaults to ON, clustering pins by proximity.
Switching the toggle OFF reveals all individual pins without clustering.
The Cluster toggle sits next to the existing Table Display toggle in the red info box, both styled for clear ON/OFF states.
The state of the toggle persists during the session unless the page is refreshed.
Navigating using history or breadcrumb resets the toggle to the default clustered view.
4. One-Hour Caching of Spatial Intelligence Queries
To accelerate workflow performance, Spatial Intelligence queries are now cached for one hour. When users return to previous spatial views using the history panel or breadcrumb, cached results are served if still valid.
Queries under one hour old return instantly from cache.
Queries older than one hour automatically trigger a fresh run.
Reduces waiting time and enables faster, smoother pivoting between spatial contexts.
Benefits
Seamless Navigation: Easily retrace and revisit previous spatial actions using an integrated breadcrumb trail.
Enhanced Visual Clarity: Quickly differentiate devices on the map through automatic, consistent color-coding.
Flexible Data Exploration: Toggle clustering to uncover granular pin distribution without altering other workspace elements.
Faster Load Times: Cached query results deliver quicker access to recent Spatial Intelligence pivots, minimizing delays.
