What's New in HYAS Protect!

MSSP & Organization Settings Menus Modernization

The Organization and MSSP Settings menus in HYAS Protect have been updated to match the latest UI3 standards. This change modernizes the interface’s layout and appearance while preserving all current functionality.

Benefits:

  • Modernized Look and Feel: Updated to reflect the latest UI3 design standards for a polished, contemporary interface.

  • Enhanced Consistency: Ensures a seamless visual experience across different sections of the platform.

  • Uninterrupted Workflows: Maintains all existing settings functionality, ensuring no disruption for users.

Refreshed MSSP & Organization Settings Pages

Along with the menus, we’ve also refreshed the MSSP and Organization Settings pages in HYAS Protect to match the updated UI standards. These updates modernize the appearance of critical settings pages without changing their functionality.

Benefits:

  • Modern Visual Design: Updated layouts and styling create a cleaner, more contemporary user experience.

  • Enhanced Consistency: Settings pages now align with the overall platform UI, providing a more seamless experience.

  • No Functional Changes: Existing workflows and settings remain the same, ensuring continuity for all users. Unless otherwise noted in other Release Notes.

Sample Pages Updated (not exhaustive):

Updated Protect Reports Page

The Reports page in HYAS Protect has been redesigned to improve usability and align with our latest UI3 standards. These enhancements streamline access to key reporting insights and make it easier to navigate historical data.

Benefits:

  • Immediate Access to Data: The latest Protection Performance Report loads automatically, eliminating blank states.

  • Modern, Scannable Layout: A persistent sidebar with a report selector improves navigation and content discovery.

  • Clear Historical Context: Date ranges, now including the year, provide greater clarity when viewing older reports.

Default Policy Visibility

HYAS Protect has been enhanced to make policy assignments clearer and more transparent for administrators and users.

When no explicit policy is assigned, “Default Policy” will now be shown as the placeholder in the Assigned Policy picklist for Source Networks, replacing the previous “Select a Policy” text, and will appear as the first item when the picklist is opened. Similarly, for User Groups, if no policy has been assigned, “Default Policy” will be displayed as the active policy in both the User Groups panel and the Assigned Users panel.

By clearly displaying “Default Policy” when no other policies are assigned, users get instant confirmation that protection is in place. This improves transparency and creates a more intuitive policy management experience.

Benefits

  • Clearer Policy Visibility: Users always know when the Default Policy is active — no more uncertainty around unassigned policies.

  • Visual Confirmation of Protection: Immediate, at-a-glance confirmation that protections are applied even without manual assignment.

  • Consistent, Intuitive Experience: Seamless updates across the interface ensure clarity without changing familiar workflows.

Split-Horizon Input Validation

Input validation has been added to the Test Query and Test Value fields under Split-HorizonDNS: Local Network Test in HYAS Protect. These improvements enhance the reliability of the feature and improve the setup experience.

Benefits:

  • Accurate Configuration: Ensures Test Query entries are valid domains or FQDNs, and Test Value entries are valid IPv4 addresses.

  • Improved Reliability: Reduces the risk of misconfiguration, helping the feature operate as intended.

  • Foundation for Future Enhancements: Sets the stage for additional improvements focused on making configuration more intuitive and error-resistant.

Agent v2.2.13

HYAS Protect Agent Build 2.2.13 includes important fixes to improve deployment and management processes.

  • Introduced a validation step during installation to confirm required information is provided, with automated handling if not completed.

  • Updated agent management capabilities to give administrators more direct control over disabling agents without additional configuration.

Benefits

  • Enforced Installation Key Validation: Ensures all agent installations are authenticated, reducing the risk of misconfigured deployments.

  • Streamlined Administrative Control: Allows IT administrators to disable agents directly from the management console without needing employee-specific settings.

  • Improved Deployment Reliability: Automatically removes agents without valid credentials, helping maintain a secure and well-managed environment.
