What's New in HYAS Protect!
Split Horizon Dependency Validation
We have introduced improved validation for the Test Query and Test Value fields in Split-Horizon configurations. Users will now see clear error messages when required dependencies are not met and can intentionally disable Split-Horizon when both fields are cleared.
Benefits
Prevent invalid configurations: Error messages block saves when required fields are missing.
Enable explicit disabling: Clearing both fields disables Split-Horizon with proper safeguards in place.
Simplify policy management: Reduces confusion and supports cleaner DNS configuration workflows.
Agent v2.2.15
Version 2.2.15 of the HYAS Protect Agent introduces key improvements for Mac and Windows:
Windows now supports better recognition of non-English usernames.
On Windows, DNS handling has been updated to ensure that traffic routed through VPN interfaces is excluded from HYAS Protect's processing. This allows VPN configurations to manage DNS resolution without interference, preventing potential conflicts with encrypted DNS or VPN behavior."
Permanent disable settings now persist after system restarts on both Mac and Windows agents.
Benefits
Improved compatibility: Non-English usernames are now fully supported on Windows agents.
Seamless VPN operation: Prevents agent interference with DNS traffic routed through VPN interfaces on Windows.
Consistent disable behavior: Permanent disable remains effective after restarts on both Mac and Windows.
Agent v2.2.14 was not released to production. This is the next available agent after v2.2.13.
